Find and fix rostering and LMS problems

OneRoster keeps users and courses up to date, and LTI lets teachers open Atlas from your LMS. When something looks wrong, the sync history usually tells you why.

OneRoster: check these first

  1. Open Recent SynchronizationsGo to the OneRoster Site Preferences page and review the latest runs. Each shows users, courses and course assignments added, removed and in error.
  2. Open the Full Log fileIt lists the exact records that failed. High error counts usually mean formatting problems, ID mismatches or missing required fields in the source data.
  3. Check what the sync processesChoose Users only or Users + Course Assignments. If courses are not appearing, the setting may be Users only.
  4. Check the scheduleSync times are in UTC. Make sure the day and time suit your time zone.
  5. Fix the source, then sync againCorrect the data in your SIS, Clever or ClassLink before running another sync.
Use the Full Log file to locate the exact cause before running another sync
⚠️ Important

Turn the sync off over the summer while your SIS is being rolled over. This stops users and courses being deactivated while next year's data is incomplete.
