Initially, your Atlas has been set up with your school defined grades. However, as a System Admin, you have the ability to add, edit, and delete grades that appear in your Atlas system.
Application
Add a New Grade
From Admin Dashboard > Grades:
1. Click Add New Grade.
2. Type new grades name in the text field.
3. Select the Identifier from the drop-down menu that most closely corresponds to the grade subject. This identifier is helpful in establishing a common language for sharing curriculum globally through the Atlas Exemplars.
4. Select School Type from the drop-down menu. The grade will be associated with this school when filters are used. You can pick more than one school.
5. Click Save to apply your changes.
Edit a Grade
From Admin Dashboard > Grades:
1. Click Edit, and update the grade name or identifier as desired.
2. Sort the list by clicking Sort and dragging the grade up or down the list.
3. Click Save to apply your changes.
Editing a grade will not affect curriculum data contained in maps.
Delete a Grade
From Admin Dashboard > Grades:
1. Click Delete.
2. Click OK to confirm the deletion.
Atlas will not allow a grade to be deleted if courses are assigned to it. In this case, Atlas will display a list of courses that must be reassigned to another grade or removed before the grade can be deleted.
