Standards Overview provides a more powerful way to analyze and compare academic standards across multiple content areas. With enhanced filtering, sorting, and a visual search, navigating standards is now faster and more intuitive. You can generate reports based on selected subjects or grade levels, including local, state, or professional standards, and easily identify assessed or unassessed skills. Plus, with new insights into assessment types within Units, Unit Assessments, Lessons, and Lesson Assessments, tracking alignment has never been easier!

Generate a Standards Overview Report

Generate a report on selected subjects and /or grades from your set of academic standards, including those from local, state or other professional organizations.
From Reports drop-down menu, select Standards Overview.

1. Select a Subject from the drop-down menu to filter the Standards by content area.

2. Once you have selected a subject, a list of available Benchmark Levels will appear. Select the levels/grades you are interested in. You can select up to six levels or grades in total, including those from the second subject.

3. Optional: For comparison across different content areas, select another Subject from the drop-down menu to filter the Standards by content area.

3. Click Submit.

4. Click Actions to:

  • Save Report – Access it anytime under My Atlas > Saved Reports.
  • Open Saved Report – Navigate directly to your Saved Reports page.
  • Share – Send the report to another Atlas user.
  • Print to PDF – Generate a printable PDF version.

5. Click the filters at the top to:

  • Show All Standards: You can choose to display only "Show Standards Targeted or Assessed," "Show Standards NOT Targeted or Assessed," or "Show My Standards" to view alignments in the courses assigned to you.

  • Type to Find Keywords: Enter keywords to filter through standards and display only those that contain the specified keyword.

  • Sort Columns: Use this feature to rearrange the displayed columns.

This report displays all instances where the benchmark was targeted and assessed across units, lessons, and lesson assessments. From here: 

  • If a particular benchmark seen on this report has been targeted in a unit or a lesson, or assessed in a unit or a lesson, a number will appear in square brackets at the end of the benchmark indicating the number of times that benchmark has been targeted/assessed. You may select these numbers to view a report on what courses/units/assessments were used, and by whom. 
  • If the Standards Prioritization feature is enabled in your Atlas, the flags will show up in this report. If the Standards Status feature is enabled in your Atlas, the flags will show up in this report. If a particular benchmark seen on this report has been flagged, a number will appear in square brackets at the end of the benchmark indicating the number of times that benchmark has been flagged. You may select these numbers to view a report on which units, by whom, and in which courses.
