Schools have several options for Atlas login. Please find your login option below and follow the steps to begin using Atlas.
Option 1: Atlas Default Login
Starting from an Invitation Email sent by your school
- If you are a new user, check your email inbox for a Welcome to Atlas email from “Atlas Curriculum Management.” Click the link in your email to get started.
- The first time you log in, Atlas will prompt you to register your account. Your school administration has already provided your name and email address. Simply create a private Atlas Password to complete the registration.
Best Practice: Set a bookmark to your My Dashboard after you have successfully logged into Atlas. This will direct you straight into Atlas when you use the bookmark in the future.
No Invitation email? Start from your school’s Atlas URL
New Users
1. You can find your school’s Atlas URL by asking your school leadership or going to https://authenticate.onatlas.com
2. On your Atlas login page, enter your email address and click the password field. If this email was never used in any Atlas site, the system will redirect you to a new page and ask you to verify your email address. Click "Yes. Email me." to receive a verification email.
3. Go to your inbox, and click the link in the verification email to login and walk through creating your personal password for subsequent logins.
If you did not receive the verification email, wait a few minutes then check your junk mailbox to see if the message appears there. If needed, your Atlas system administrator can reset your password manually to bypass the verification process.

What to do:
- Type in your email again and confirm that you have entered your email correctly.
- If your email is correct, try another email that your school might have used.
- If still unable to login, reach out to your school administrator to check your Atlas account, or create one for you.
- If you need additional support, contact us.

Azure Configuration to Establish Atlas Connection
An Azure Administrator at your school can set up the SSO connection
- Inside the Azure Portal, open App registrations then click +New registration
- Do not use the Enterprise Applications menu, it requires more work to set up
- Provide a name that users will recognize during initial sign in
- Add the Redirect URI of type=Web
with value https://authenticate.onatlas.com/api/auth/azure/callback - Once the App is created, add a client secret in the Certificates & secrets section
- Set expiration according to your own policy.
- When it expires, you’ll need to provide Atlas a new secret to use Azure SSO
- Copy this secret right away; you can’t see it later!
- You may wish to add an image under “App Registration: Branding” to assist with recognition https://images.rubiconatlas.org/common_images/Atlas_landscape.png
Provide the Application (client) ID, client secret value, and a test account with its password to us, by emailing our support team at support@onatlas.com
We will provide the full Redirect URI of type=Web upon receiving your data, after testing the configuration.
ADFS Configuration to Establish Atlas Connection
To start the ADFS SSO process, please do the following:
- We need a metadata URL for your Identity Provider, and a testing account we can use to test SSO with ADFS.
-
You will need to add Atlas Identity as a Relying Party Trust, using our metadata. URL https://authenticate.onatlas.com/api/metadata.xml
-
The Relying Party configured on your ADFS server should include Two Claim Rules (note a specific ‘Rule template’ for each):
- Include the three Attributes from the screenshot.
- Additional unique identifiers (such as EmployeeID) can be included, too).
-
Then, the ‘Transform’ Incoming Claim can be your preferred unique identifier. Atlas recommends using E-Mail Address.
