Atlas Reports allow both teachers and administrators to find answers to specific questions by analyzing your school's curriculum data in various, meaningful ways. The insights you gain from these reports can be used to inform your current curriculum process, and serve as the foundation for collaborative and directed conversations with your colleagues.
We have a large variety of reporting options and you may find yourself asking 'what report do I need?' If you are struggling to answer this question, please contact us at support@onatlas.com so we can help assess your needs and get you the right report.
We think of three "families" of curriculum reporting in Atlas:
1) Standards & Assessment Reports
Located in the Reports tab, this family of reports helps you see the % of standards taught & assessed (or not taught or assessed) in any subject area, grade level, or course. These reports also allow you to see the number and type of assessments associated with taught standards to answer the following types of questions:
- How many times are we teaching/assessing these standards? (Standards Overview Report)
- Which standards are we teaching/not and assessing/not? (Standards Analysis Report)
- In what ways are we assessing students on the standards? (Assessment Analysis Report)
2) Scope & Sequence Reports
Also located in the Reports tab, this family of reports allows you to compare pieces of the written curriculum side-by-side with curriculum in other courses.
- The Unit Overview Report lets you build a scope and sequence with side-by-side unit titles for selected courses, making it easy to compare unit pacing across classes or grade levels.
- Using the Scope & Sequence Reports, you can compare the skills taught in Math 6, 7, and 8 (vertical) or see the range of content given to students in the 10th grade (horizontal).
- You can also view a Comparative Unit Calendar Report to find similarities among course calendars and identify opportunities for collaborative interdisciplinary teaching.
3) Keyword Search Reports
Located in the Search bar, this family of Atlas reports allows you to uncover where, when, and how often we are covering specific topics or skills in our curriculum.
- The Search Curriculum report let's you use keywords and phrases to search across all curriculum and attaachments in your Atlas system. The search engine will also identify units that include words with the same root. For instance, a search for 'graph' will find units with 'graphing' or 'graphs', but not units with 'geography' or 'paragraph'.
- The Search Standards Alignment report let's you use keywords and phrases to search across all standards in your Atlas system.
- If the Complex Checklist feature has been enabled, then the Search Complex Checklist report let's you search the curriculum in your Atlas system by keyword or phrase to identify units that have aligned to your complex checklist.
- Last but not least, use the Search Activity report to search your school's users activity by a keyword. Curriculum Activity is a running feed of actions taken in Atlas by you and your colleagues. Activities are captured in Atlas when:
- The curriculum is updated (units and lessons).
- A map/unit is viewed.
- A report is saved.
- Someone joins a discussion.
- The curriculum is copied or shared.
