Your first weeks leading curriculum in Atlas

Coordinators sit between administrators and teachers. This checklist covers the settings to check, the people to support and the reports that help you lead curriculum conversations.

Check the set-up

  1. Academic calendar and archive dateConfirm the calendar in Admin > Admin Dashboard > Academic Calendar and the next archive date. The archive date applies to the whole site, so agree it with leadership.
  2. Users and coursesMake sure teachers are added in Admin > Manage Users and assigned to the right courses.
  3. Unit planner templateReview the categories teachers will fill in, in Admin > Manage Unit Planner Templates.
  4. AI settingsDecide which AI features teachers can use in Admin > Admin Dashboard > AI Settings.

Support your teachers

  • Share the basics

Point new teachers to the New User Orientation section.

  • Set expectations

Agree which categories must be complete and by when.

  • Encourage collaboration

Teams can edit a unit at the same time in different categories.

Use reports to lead

  1. Start with Unit OverviewSee unit pacing across courses and grades.
  2. Check standards coverageUse Standards Analysis to find standards not yet taught or assessed.
  3. Save your key viewsSave the reports you use in meetings so you can return to them.
