System Admins can adjust the Academic Calendar, which is displayed in the unit Calendar in My Atlas > My Courses tab and various curriculum reports. After the annual curriculum archive, your Calendar in Atlas may need to be updated to reflect the new academic year.

Edit the Academic Calendar
From the Admin Dashboard > Academic Calendar:
1. Enter calendar start date; this is typically the first instructional day of the academic year.
2. Enter the calendar end date. This generally is the last instructional day of the academic year.
3. Select the First Day of Each Week from the drop-down menu.
For example, if the instructional week consists of Monday through Friday, choose Monday as the first day of the week.
4. Checkoff or un-check the box(es) to indicate or exclude an instructional week in the academic calendar.
Hover your cursor over a week number indicator to show the Start and End Dates for the week.
5. Click Save Changes to record your updates.
Add New Key Academic Date
Markers may be used to indicate key dates in the academic year, such as the end of quarter or semester, or the start of a holiday break.
From the Admin Dashboard > Academic Calendar:
1. Click Edit Key Academic Dates.
2. Click Add New Key Academic Date to add a new marker to the Academic Calendar.
- Select the Date from the Calendar.
- Select a Color in which the marker will appear on the Calendar.
- Enter a descriptive Label in the text field. This label will appear throughout Atlas on the mouse-over of the marker.
- Optional: If you want this marker to show up in specific schools (i.e., HS only), then select the desired school in the School field. Otherwise, leave this field unselected, and the marker will show up in all maps.
3. Click Save to apply your changes.
Modify an Academic Date
Click Edit Key Academic Dates.
- Click Edit to modify the Date, Color, Label, or School of a marker.
- Click Delete to remove the marker from the Academic Calendar. This will not affect the Calendar for archived maps.
