Assessment methods and types play a crucial role in evaluating student learning, measuring progress, and improving instructional practices. In Atlas, these assessment methods and types are integral components that help educators effectively assess student performance and align assessment practices with curriculum goals. System Admins can add, edit, and delete Assessment Methods and Assessment Types from the list available in the Assessments category in any Unit Planner.
Add a New Assessment Method or Assessment Type
From Admin > Admin Dashboard > Assessment Settings:
1. Click Add New item.
2. At the bottom of the current list, type in the new Assessment Method or Type in the text field.
3. Click Save to create the new Assessment Method or Type.
Edit or Delete an Assessment Method or Type
Deleting an Assessment Method will remove all associated assessments and their attachments in the curriculum. Feel free to contact us if you need any help altering the list. We can help with merging the undesirable Methods or Types into any new or existed ones.
From Admin > Admin Dashboard > Assessment Settings:
- In the Actions column, click the pencil icon (Edit) and edit the text fields as desired.
- Sort the list by clicking the Sort and dragging the Assessment Method or Type up or down the list.
- Click the bin icon (Delete) to remove an Assessment Method or Assessment Type.
